On April 2, 2008, Beijing Olympic torch relay arrived in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This was the first stop of global relay, which would also cover 20 cities outside China from April 2 to May 3. The number of presence population had reached 200 000 which made this activity to be the biggest ceremony of Kazakhstan in this year.
As the first-stop of global torch relay, traffic control had been implemented in Almaty, the public security work was concerned the most. With a strict research about all brands of communication products, they had chosen TC-600 of HYT who has enjoyed a reputation of the most famous and effective brand in the local market of professional wireless communication.
